Prologue: The Mystifying Woman - Mission to Narshe [FINAL FANTASY VI PIXEL REMASTER]

Two Imperial soldiers, Biggs and Wedge, accompany a magic-using woman on a march over snowy hills. The group has been sent to raid the neutral city of Narshe using Magitek Armor due to reports of a frozen being known as an "esper" recently discovered in a mine shaft near the settlement. In the rear of the newest mine they find Valigarmanda, an esper. The esper sends out pulses of magical energy, killing Biggs and Wedge and destroying the woman's Magitek Armor. The woman awakens in the home of a man named Arvis, who explains she was being controlled by the Empire with a device known as a "slave crown".
