Dorcha visits Loch Arkaig Osprey Nest One and perches for a while 5 Apr 2026

Young pair Louis & Aila take up residence, fledge one male chick Lachlan JH4 2018 Louis & Aila return but a Pine Marten steals the eggs 2019 Louis & Aila return, fledge two female chicks Mallie JJ0, Rannoch JJ2 2020 Louis & Aila return, fledge two male and one female chicks Doddie JJ6, Vera JJ8, Captain JJ7 2021 Louis returns, sadly Aila doesn't. Louis takes up residence on a new nest designated Nest Two with new mate Dorcha, fledge two male chicks Aspen LW3, Alder LW4. No one on Nest One 2022 Woodland Trust install a nest cam on N2. Louis & Dorcha return, fledge two female chicks Willow LW5, Sarafina LW6. Still no one on Nest One 2023 Louis & Dorcha return, fledge a male chick Ludo LY7. No one on Nest One but Garry LV0 spent a lot of time flirting with Affric 152 despite her mate Prince being around 2024 Louis & Dorcha return but dreadful conditions occur, two surviving chicks saved by translocation to Spain: sadly 1JR dies but 1JW fledges. Garry LV0 returns to Nest One but no mate 2025 Louis & Dorcha return, fledge two male chicks 7P0 Darach; 7P7 Breac. No chicks on Nest One but Garry LV0 pairs up with Aurora 536 Nest cams installed by Wildlife Windows in Arkaig Community Forest, funded by People's Postcode Lottery.
