Terence Shen, now an independent journalist prominent social media influencer, launched his YouTube channel in 2019. It rapidly became one of the leading political channels in the Mandarin-speaking world. The channel covers a wide range of topics including Indo-Pacific affairs, international relations, and Chinese politics. “The Toronto Star” describes it as "a Toronto man’s crusade against China’s propaganda."

Terence Shen holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto and a Master's degree from the Centre for East Asian Studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
