When Australian Magpies want something they aren't subtle – Lil Sis scores bigly!

They surrounded me but I got the message – bale time. Dad immediately nails a centipede and the three of them are keen for a feed. The biggest score is at 18:09 with roach city all for Lil Sis. It's another 3-deep stack of roaches near the birdbath. Those logs are crazy... Mum's eye make-up is visible but it seems harder to see after her last moult. Lil Sis gets a screechy warning from Mum at 10:34. And she's making those little noises again. Big jump-scare at 15:50 – not sure what happened. Maybe Lil Sis startled herself. She came right back to resume the bale with some feathers on the back of her head a little ruffled. For non-Australians/Brits who may not know, "Head down, bum up" is an expression that means someone is concentrating intently on a task. I've just realised something...I used to move these posts when I mowed that area. If I do that now the roaches will flee. Hmmm...I need a plan... Cheers folks!
