The added acceleration would increase the severity of any impact, potentially resulting in serious injury or death. Panic may further worsen the situation if the driver continues to apply the incorrect pedal. These faults demonstrate a lack of effective observation, control, and hazard response. Drivers must remain alert, anticipate potential hazards, and respond correctly and promptly. Consistent practice, proper training, and a clear understanding of safe driving procedures are essential to maintaining road safety.
