Alhumdulillah our One Nation outreach team were in Leeds city centre last night, supporting individuals facing homelessness with essential aid. Hot meals were served, along with warm clothing, sleeping bags, and hot drinks—offering not just physical relief, but a sense of care and dignity on a cold night. Homelessness can happen for many reasons. Some people are affected by job loss, rising living costs, mental health struggles, family breakdown, or unexpected life events that push them into crisis. It’s a reminder that anyone can fall into hardship, and as a community, we have a responsibility to look out for one another. The Prophet ﷺ said: “He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while the neighbour to his side goes hungry.” This is a powerful reminder that supporting those in need—especially those close to us—is part of our faith and humanity. A heartfelt thank you to every volunteer who gave their time and energy to make this outreach possible. Your efforts are making a real difference. Our monthly homeless support continues next Friday at St Anne’s Centre, Leeds on Friday 10th April.
