Shiawaves news agency (News of the Shia World)
Shiawaves news agency was founded on 5th July 2012 and is titled ‘News of the Shia World’. It has been operating as the first and only dedicated, unaffiliated Shia news agency, delivering news in three languages: Persian, Arabic and English using seven satellite, cable and internet channels. Shiawaves had published 73588 news stories by the end of year 2022 on a variety of topics including: holy sites, religious authorities (Marāji'), Shia leadership, Qur’anic activities, anti-Shi'ism, Shia media and Shia institutes, art and culture, science and technology, religious associations and Hussaini ceremonies. The news agency has recorded video presentations of news in Persian, Arabic and English, along with the relevant footage making them available to various Shia channels.
