The Supermarine Spitfire is one of Britain’s most legendary machines. This year marks 90 years since the icon first took to the skies, and one of our customers set us a serious challenge… Build a modern Thornton Hundred interpretation of the Spitfire. No pressure then. But the real question was this… Can we take a stock Triumph Bobber and turn it into something truly worthy of the name? Join me, Evan and the team as we set out to create a modern take on the now 90-year-old British icon. From the design inspiration and paintwork to the stance and finishing details, every part of this build had to reflect the spirit of the original aircraft while still feeling unmistakably Thornton Hundred. What followed was a serious challenge, a lot of late nights in the workshop, and the mission to build something that could stand up to one of the greatest machines Britain has ever produced.
