The Alan Parsons Project - Eye In The Sky (Live) • Toppop
“Eye in the Sky,” released in May 1982 as the title track of the sixth studio album “Eye in the Sky” from Alan Parsons Project, sung by co-founder, main songwriter, and lead vocalist Eric Woolfson. It became the group’s biggest hit, peaking at #3 on the US Billboard Hot 100, reaching #1 in Canada and Spain, and climbing to #6 in New Zealand. On the Australian Kent Music Report it hit #22, while peaking around #16 in France and #38 in Germany. Alan Parsons (London, 20 December 1948) is a British composer, musician and producer. He is known as a producer of, among others, Pink Floyd ('Dark side of the moon') and worked at the famous Abbey Road Studios. He later formed the band The Alan Parsons Project with Eric Woolfson in the 1970s. With many (more and less) known studio musicians, this co-creation made very polished concept albums. Best known are the single "The Turn of a Friendly Card" (sung by Chris Rainbow) and "Old and Wise" sung by ex-Zombies singer Colin Blunstone. This live performance was recorded for the World Liberty Concert, a large-scale event held on May 8, 1995, in Arnhem to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Europe. The concert took place at the John Frost Bridge.
