An incredible procession of icebergs fills the waters off Ilulissat, Greenland on June 19, 2026. Captured by the AfarTV Iceberg Cam, this timelapse reveals a constant stream of floating giants drifting silently through the Arctic, each with its own unique shape, size, and history. What appears to be a peaceful scene is powered by immense natural forces. Ocean currents, tides, and winds guide these ancient blocks of glacial ice as they journey from Greenland's interior toward the North Atlantic. Many of the icebergs seen here originate from the Ilulissat Icefjord, fed by the massive Sermeq Kujalleq—one of the fastest-moving glaciers on Earth and one of the world's most productive sources of icebergs. Remember: only about 10% of an iceberg is visible above the surface. The vast majority of each iceberg remains hidden beneath the water, making these frozen giants far larger than they appear. You can experience this exact view in person by staying at this beautiful ocean front home in Ilulissat, Greenland. This home is located in one of the absolute best locations in Ilulissat, where you can hear the sea just outside as well as the smell of the ice from Ilulissat Isfjord.
