Today we would be celebrating Helmut Claas’s 100th birthday 🤍 Hardly anyone has had such a lasting impact on modern agricultural machinery as Helmut Claas. 🙏 With technical foresight, innovative drive and a firm commitment to making agriculture more efficient, he transformed CLAAS from a family business into a world-leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery. 🌾 Whether it’s the DOMINATOR, JAGUAR, XERION or LEXION – many milestones in agricultural machinery bear his hallmark. With over 100 patents, a tireless drive for innovation and the ability to recognise the needs of the agricultural sector at an early stage, he became one of the industry’s most significant visionaries. 🤝 Shaped by the family business, Helmut Claas learned early on to view technology through the eyes of farmers: how can machinery better support them, safeguard harvests and secure the long-term viability of their farms? His answers continue to shape agriculture to this day. 🌱 To mark his 100th birthday, we remember a pioneer whose ideas have guided generations of farmers and agricultural engineers – and will continue to do so in the future.
