Lego McDonald's Factory | French Fries from Scratch

What if you could have a robot prepare your favorite food all at the push of a button? CREDITS @Johannes Matzen (Danish speaking channel) Johannes was the main inspiration. Absolute mad lad. The initial plan was to make a LEGO version of his idea, albeit with my own mechanism and a vending machine layout. Specifically the speed-ramped editing in the opening, and the graphics are all to his credit. He also helped with the new intro. @The Brick Wall The Brick Wall makes amazing automated lego constructions, be it a firewood factory or a tapas maker. Specifically his Fruit Plate Factory made me realize that it is entirely possible to have weak Lego motors mash into a potato with proper force in a plastic LEGO construction. The initial idea was to just have a “french fries cutter” inside the machine operated by a manual handle on the front of the machine. @AstonishingStudios Big thanks to Marcel from AstonishingStudios for organzing an accountabillity network over the summer, which has motivated me to finish the project. REMEMBER Spilling dangerously warm oil at 200 degrees C is a major fire hazard, so we were very careful and monitored the entire operation closely. I was kind of super nervous that the pot would tip over from the hotplate, if say, the robot accidentally started moving while the strainer was in the pot. Throwing water at frying oil is a recipe for explosions. So we would need to use a fire extinguisher. Same thing about the potato press, blades and high torque pressure is a recipe for losing fingers. So please don’t try and replicate this. Features that didn't make it into the video: Other coins than 2 euro coins are rejected and spit out at the front.
