Talk about devising an elaborate plot to force me to return to my classic, black background ASMR! Apparently the universe and the power company employees came up with a plan where, on the night of July 4th (2026), nature would create a severe storm due to all the extreme heat we’ve been having here in Southeastern PA which would cause the power to go out in our neighborhood. Then, the employees would go on strike after midnight for the first time in the power company’s 145 year history! The combination of these two (who were obviously working in cahoots with each other) would create the perfect storm (pun intended) that would keep the power out long enough so that I couldn’t work on my book or do anything else BUT make this video! So, with no power, and unable to write (my manuscript is on my PC and I don’t own a laptop), I conceded to the obvious demands of the universe, who apparently has been listening to my my viewers & subscribers. Unfortunately, my iPhone was on low battery (25%) so I couldn’t make this video longer, like we would have preferred. After it died during recording, I drove my car around long enough to recharge it and create a short clip to end the video. Thanks to the local coffee shop for the outlets and public WiFi so I could have enough power to edit the two clips together with the iMovie app, save it, and upload it (took about an hour on the shop’s wifi) to my channel! 😂 🫡 ✌️ 😴
