Pilliwiggin part 4: Maggie pays him a visit on day 2 afternoon

Pilliwiggin is a juvenile male Grey-Headed Flying-Fox about 14.5 weeks old (or thereabouts). He was found on the ground in the loading dock of a factory where he'd been overnight. During the current fuel crisis (the expense and the scarcity) and the distance from my home (and the amount of tolls between me and my batty), I declined to rescue unless nobody else could; and nobody else could. So meet the new little delight in my life, Pilliwiggin, who has smacked his head, is very very calm and is quite cooperative at the moment. He was so alert and "kind of tame" that I scanned him for a chip, but there's nothing, so he hasn't been in care previously (and he's too young to be out of area from a group who doesn't chip their bats). He has survived night one, is peeing and looking a little more alert; I'm (weirdly) feeling quite hopeful about him but it's still very early days. Maggie came over today to see the new little darling; he enjoyed some Maggie time being pampered, cosseted and cleansed, and of course, he managed to pee on her at the very last moment; way to go Wiggi! His name, Pilliwiggin, is the name of a woodland sprite which refers to a tiny fairy or sprite designated as a guardian of flowers in English and Irish folklore. I should point out that he was from Woodpark Road, however I didn't remember this until after I named him; apparently this is synchronicity in action, and was meant to be.
