Renowned environmentalist, education reformer and activist Sonam Wangchuk has launched an indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar after the government did not respond to his key demands. After raising his concerns internationally, including in Geneva, Wangchuk returned to India and began his protest in the national capital. The protest focuses on accountability in the education system and the protection of Ladakh's fragile environment, culture, and future.
