Lahir dari keluarga kurang mampu, dengan orang tua buruh tani, ia sempat kuliah di jurusan Fisika tetapi harus berhenti karena utang bank Rp5 juta dan biaya kuliah yang besar. Sebagai anak laki-laki satu-satunya, ia lalu bekerja serabutan, jadi kuli, bahkan pernah bekerja hanya untuk beli obat gatal dan demi membantu ekonomi keluarga. Perjalanan usahanya juga tidak mudah. Ia pernah jualan kaos, jual beli kendaraan yang sempat tidak laku, sampai harus cari uang di laci untuk beli mie dan meminjam ke mertua. Setelah mencoba jual elektronik seperti laptop, HP, dan TV di Blitar, TV justru jadi barang yang paling cepat laku. Dari sana usahanya terus berkembang, mulai dari ambil puluhan unit, menambah reseller, sampai berani sewa ruko. Kini Rizqi Elektronik mampu menjual sekitar 200 unit per bulan dengan omzet kotor ratusan juta.
