Can my newborn photo shoot include our fur child? The answer is yes — but not every dog is suitable. I love including pets in my newborn sessions, because they are part of the family. But this requires a highly experienced photographer who understands both newborn safety and animal behaviour. Safety is always our top priority. We only welcome well-trained dogs, and we always explain to parents beforehand — this is not guaranteed, so expectations need to be realistic. I also recommend babies under 4 weeks old, as they sleep more soundly and are less easily disturbed.
