Tutorial, how to make a butterfly sword of A4 paper with your own hands. The necessary materials: 11 sheets of A4 paper, as well as glue and scissors. It takes about 40 minutes to make 1 such craft. Chinese Butterfly Swords ( Traditional Chinese - 蝴蝶雙刀 ), also known as Baat Jaam Do, are traditional short swords from Southern China, closely associated with Wing Chun Kung Fu. They are called “Butterfly Swords” because they are almost always used as a pair. When held together, the two swords move in harmony, resembling the symmetrical motion of butterfly wings. This paired use allowed fighters to attack and defend simultaneously. Historically, Butterfly Swords were short, easy to conceal, and designed for close-range combat. Their compact size made them practical for self-defense in crowded urban environments. In this video, I recreate Butterfly Swords from A4 paper, inspired by their historical form and cultural meaning. This is a non-functional paper model, created for artistic and educational purposes only.
