My Ginger Cat 'Butter' Has FIP and Taken To The Vet (9 December 2025)

My ginger cat Butter exhausted and had to be taken to the vet. He had FIP. I first saw Butter as a stray cat around December 2021. He was often avoidant of people and won't let me touch him. In January 2024, I was surprised to find him in his hangout spot and approached me, which was a first time. He was walking wobbly and could not breathe, suffering from chronic flu. I gave him coupage for one hour and his breathing improved. I left him afterward and we became friends ever since. January 2026 would be our second friendship anniversary. It was only this year March 2025 that I finally took him in as our house cat. Butter is very friendly and very popular with the rescue kittens because he acts like their mother, very protective and nurturing. Butter is in need of FIP shots to survive. He is recovering well and fighting, I've seen little improvements and hope he won't suddenly crash back to zero.
