It is being conducted as a joint offensive with Israel, which has dubbed its own part of the mission Operation Roaring Lion. Strategic Objectives According to official statements and President Trump’s address, the operation has four primary military goals: Nuclear Proliferation: Preventing Iran from acquiring or finishing a nuclear weapon.
