In this episode, I stopped in San Antonio, Texas during my road trip home in the limo to visit Rick Love at Vintage Air for a full behind-the-scenes factory tour. If you’ve ever wondered where your Vintage Air SureFit system, Front Runner drive, brackets, coils, controls, and A/C components are made, this video shows the process from start to finish. We walk through the facility, check out product development, plastics, assembly lines, coil production, powder coating, machining, tube bending, shipping, and more. What makes Vintage Air so special is that they’ve been doing this for 50 years, and they continue to build so much of it right here in Texas with an incredible team of American workers. As someone who truly believes in supporting Made in America companies, it was awesome to see just how much care, engineering, and craftsmanship goes into these systems. Rick also talks about: Vintage Air’s 50th anniversary New applications for Ford trucks, Jeeps, Mustangs, S10s, Z cars, BMWs, and Porsche How their SureFit kits are designed to function like OEM systems Their in-house production process and quality control The legendary Cool 200 Studebaker If you’re building a classic Ford truck, muscle car, Jeep, or hot rod and have ever thought about adding air conditioning, this is a really cool look inside one of the most respected companies in the industry. Drop your questions in the comments and let me know: What vehicle would you put a Vintage Air system in? #FordEra #MadeInAmerica #AirConditioning
