Crushing Aluminum Foil Into a Solid Metal Block

We tested whether food and everyday materials can be made more efficient by turning them into cubes. First, we crushed pizza into a solid cube and cooked it in an air fryer to see if it would still behave like pizza — or unfold back into its original shape. Then we tried the same idea with microwave popcorn and found out very quickly why that might not be a great idea. After that, we crushed a massive amount of aluminum foil to see if it could be compressed into a solid aluminum block. Along the way, we pushed our tools close to their limits and learned a few unexpected things about pressure, surface area, and how materials behave when they are compressed with extreme force.
