Seattle mayor's plan includes building more housing near public transit, accelerated zoning changes

Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson says three words describe part of her plan to get more housing built in the city. “Taller, denser, faster”. Wilson says she wants to speed up the next phases of the city’s Comprehensive Plan. Some of the key parts of that plan include building more housing near transit options, and in and around what the city calls “growth centers”. The mayor recently announced the push toward accelerated zoning changes. The Office of Planning and Community Development is expected to evaluate possible land use and zoning changes.
