LUNA UP UP & AWAY! FLIGHT TRAINING IN PROGRESS - BIG AIR OFF NEST! SANDY'S DEVELOPING VOICE FOBBVCAM

They are 69 days old and are in the last stage of their development as they concentrate on their pre-flight training exercises for both wing & leg strength. Fledging usually occurs between 10-14 weeks of age. Last season, Sunny fledged on day 90 and Gizmo fledged on day 91 so Sandy & Luna have approximately 3 weeks left before they take flight. Of course, fledging will take place when the eaglet is ready to take that leap of faith. Luna has been consistently practicing for his fledge day with impressive wingers, hops & jumps! Be sure to watch Sandy's face when Luna is winging all over the nest! Luna gets some big air lifts with flapping and jumping getting some bounce from the nest. It is an exciting time to be watching these eaglets! Sandy is developing her voice and she can be heard making her unique honking sounds. It makes me think that Sandy will inherit Jackie's loud vocals one day in the future. Perhaps when Sandy has a mate of her own, she will be having those beaky conversations with her mate and ruling the nest like Jackie does with Shadow! Luna has his own unique voice as well and squeals can be heard while Luna is wingercising! Thank you for watching!
