After seeing the council's flashy CGI artists' impressions, the reality on the ground feels completely different. This development has turned into a £46.8 million financial scandal hit by massive delays, overspends, and an independent investigation. But worst of all is the design bait-and-switch. We watched the blueprints shrink from an iconic "tent-style" canopy, down to a vibrant two-level model, and finally get flattened into the basic, single-story version we see today. In this video, I take you inside to see what we actually got for our money, break down the changing blueprints, and look at the real impact on local traders.
