*The Perfect Kingfisher Burrow* has a strong foundation, vertical banks, and a height that prevents flooding during high tide. This pair has taken things a step further by narrowing the burrow, making it difficult for them to turn around and forcing them to emerge in reverse. This is not a problem for them, as they do this when excavating the burrow. However, they would normally widen the hole, once the excavating was finished.
