Pushing My AI Dark Factory to Its Limits with Opus + Kimi Combined

My AI Dark Factory - the self-building codebase that ships its own code through a custom agent harness (Archon workflows) - currently runs entirely on Kimi K2.6. And it works. But as I scale up how much the factory takes on, I'm hitting a ceiling: the hardest steps need more reasoning power than one fast model can give me. So today I'm rebuilding the factory's workflows live to combine two providers. Opus comes in for the deep reasoning and planning - the steps where stronger reasoning actually changes the outcome - while Kimi K2.6 stays the workhorse for implementation, validation, and research.
