Daralene Jones, WFTV & The Questions Christopher Delgado Was Never Asked About Goliath Ventures

Christopher Delgado is finally speaking publicly after the collapse of Goliath Ventures Inc, but after watching WFTV’s interview series with Daralene Jones, I walked away frustrated for the victims who lost everything. What we got wasn’t a investigative interview. It felt more like a carefully managed opportunity for Delgado to explain away a $328 million Ponzi scheme while sitting inside a mansion allegedly purchased with investor funds. Victims deserved far tougher questions than what they got. Interview One https://youtu.be/j3xnzqLBoZg&t=2s Interview Two https://youtu.be/0wm_9FC4DGk interview Three https://youtu.be/VJyVwQi5Kik *THE INTERVIEW THAT LEFT VICTIMS ANGRY* For months I’ve been documenting Goliath Ventures Inc, long before federal investigators arrested Christopher Delgado. I’ve watched recruitment calls, reviewed marketing material, and followed the money trail using open-source intelligence. So when WFTV released these interviews, many victims expected a journalist to finally confront Delgado with the hard questions the public actually wants answered. Instead, viewers watched Delgado calmly walk through luxury homes while discussing “mistakes,” “pressure,” and “trying to save the company.” He admitted investor money was used for distributions, corporate events, and personal spending, but there was very little follow-up when his answers contradicted basic logic. If the company was never intended to become a Ponzi scheme, then where was the legitimate revenue? What external income streams existed before new investor money started paying old investors? *THE QUESTIONS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ASKED* Why was a company promising investors between 3% and 8% monthly returns operating without proper licensing? Why were people encouraged to roll over retirement accounts and life savings into something supposedly managed through crypto trading? Why was money flowing into cars, watches, luxury travel, alcohol-fuelled parties, and multiple properties while investors believed their capital was being professionally managed? Delgado repeatedly framed Goliath as a startup that spiralled out of control, but startups usually build products, generate customers, and create revenue. Goliath appeared to generate hype, recruitment, and lifestyle marketing. Even Delgado admitted money was being recycled into payouts. That should have triggered far more aggressive questioning. At one point Delgado claimed he went to Dubai to try to save the company. Fine. Save it how? Which companies was he meeting with? What was he pitching? Where did the frozen funds supposedly exist? Why continue accepting investments if the operation was already collapsing? These are the questions victims wanted answered because many now believe the luxury image was always the real product being sold. *FOLLOW THE MONEY, NOT THE PERFORMANCE* One of the most disturbing parts of this saga is how many people were convinced by appearances. Expensive homes, private jets, staged events, designer brands, motivational speeches, and carefully crafted social media content created the illusion of legitimacy. That illusion is what allowed ordinary people to trust Delgado and the network surrounding him. What also frustrates many victims is that the spotlight continues to focus on Delgado alone. Federal investigators have already indicated there are co-conspirators involved, yet mainstream media rarely pushes deeper into the wider network of promoters, recruiters, and personalities who helped build credibility around Goliath Ventures Inc. *WHY THIS STORY MATTERS* This isn’t just about one man sitting in a mansion explaining his side of the story. It’s about understanding how modern Ponzi schemes operate in plain sight. They sell exclusivity, confidence, lifestyle, and urgency. By the time victims realise the returns were smoke and mirrors, the money is often already gone. That’s why I put together a list of questions I believe Christopher Delgado should have been asked. Not because victims need more entertainment, but because accountability matters. If journalism is going to serve the public properly, then powerful people accused of destroying lives shouldn’t be handed a soft landing to rehabilitate their image on camera.
