You have a recovery kit. You have a lift. You have lockers. You have a Starlink. You have spent serious money making sure your rig is ready for anything the trail throws at it. But are YOU ready? #TrailSafety #Overlanding #FirstAid In this special guest episode, Christian invites Gretchen to share her experience on trail safety in a conversation the off road community has been avoiding and honestly should have had a long time ago. Gretchen is a former paramedic. She also owns a Jeep Gladiator. She has wheeled in some of the most remote terrain on the continent including a trip to Tuktoyaktuk in the Canadian Arctic. She knows what happens when things go wrong on trail because she has seen it. Up close. Professionally. And she has a lot to say about how prepared most off roaders actually are. Spoiler: most of us are not as ready as we think we are. She talks about something nobody in the off road space says loudly enough: owning a first aid kit means almost nothing if you do not know how to use what is inside it. The kit is only as good as the knowledge behind it. They also get into backup food and water for when a trail day turns into an unplanned overnight. GPS devices and staying connected when cell service is a distant memory. Starlink and what genuine connectivity looks like in truly remote terrain. And the thing that is harder than any of it: knowing when to ask for help and actually doing it. Paul sat this one out. Christian held it down. Gretchen absolutely delivered. This is one of the most genuinely important episodes we have ever put out and we do not say that lightly on a channel that once spent twenty minutes arguing about gear ratios. Watch this one. Share it with your trail crew. Then go check what is actually in your first aid kit and be honest with yourself about whether you know how to use any of it. Drop your trail safety questions in the comments. Gretchen knows her stuff and this conversation is worth continuing well beyond this episode.
