Here’s a smoother, more heartfelt version that keeps the sentiment while improving the flow: Kara reminds us that, even though life indoors may seem wonderful, her heart is still out there in the place she knows as home. You can see it in her body language she’s waiting for the day she can return. She doesn’t understand why she’s here, how long she’ll stay, or what’s happening, and I truly believe she’ll be happiest when she’s back where she belongs. One of the reasons I don’t like keeping them for too long is because I never want them to lose that connection to where they came from. If Kara couldn’t return home and wasn’t truly happy living with us, she’d also struggle to fit back into the life she once knew. That could be far more stressful and distressing for her in the long run. Right now, my main priority is making sure she’s healthy, strong, and has everything she needs before she’s released. Please don’t judge me for letting them go I would keep every single one if I could. I’d love to keep them all safe forever. But sometimes, helping them means giving them the chance to return to the life they’re meant to live, while saving the indoor spaces for the cats who genuinely can’t survive outside. I was so happy to see how well Kara got on with all the other cats today. She reminds me so much of Ballerina they share that same gentle, calm nature. I also have a feeling that Mama Bear is an older girl. I know I thought the same about Lumpy, but there’s something about Kara’s quiet confidence and the way she interacts so naturally with the other cats that makes me think she’s an older soul. Sweet girl, Kara. ❤️
