Bella is playing with the puppies more. I originally picked the music "Parting of the Ways" because I liked how it sounded and it was pretty long, but I realized some time ago that every meeting ends in a parting, some harder than others. Owning dogs, those partings are sometimes terrible and unexpected. RIP Hope Miller - February 15, 2018 to May 9, 2026. Too Soon. On April 10, 2018, I got a puppy from the shelter. She's a little terrier mix and was born on February 15, 2018. I'm planning on documenting her life right here. She got a new sister from the shelter on May 7, 2019. Bella was born on February 28, 2019 and is fitting right in. They both got another sister on March 27, 2021: Cristi. We took her while my uncle was in the hospital and, when he died in April, she joined the pack. Hope died on May 9, 2026, around 4 a.m. She had routine stomach surgery the day before due to a blockage between the stomach and intestines. She died in my arms. She just stopped breathing. On May 27, 2026, we adopted Smiley & Dazey - allegedly two feist/heeler mixes - from the Avery County Shelter.
