Always Do THIS First… Or Your Tire Shine Won’t Last. Yes — we mean it. In this video, we apply the DIY Detail Tire Dressing for the very first time at Omni Garage… but more importantly, we show you the step that actually determines whether your tire shine lasts days… or weeks. Before applying any dressing, we run through a quick montage of how we thoroughly clean the wheel and tyre, removing old tire shine, embedded grime, and contaminants. This is the step most people skip — and it’s exactly why their tire dressing fails early, looks patchy, or slings everywhere. Once the tyre is fully stripped and prepped, we apply the DIY Detail Tire Dressing using the DIY Detail Tire Shine Brush, which is perfect for larger SUV and 4x4 tyres. This allows us to work the product evenly into the rubber for full coverage. We let the product dwell for around 20 minutes, then level off any excess to reveal the final result… A deep, clean matte finish — no greasy shine, no sling — just that factory-fresh, restored look that actually complements the vehicle. And the result? With the prep done properly, you can expect a couple of weeks up to a month of durability, depending on how often the vehicle is driven.
