As a new chick hatches, he stays close to Gylfie watching the eggs carefully. And he's practical too - watch him feed the pair's eldest chick when it calls out from under Gylfie's wing. Barn owl brood Out of four eggs, Gylfie & Dryer have two chicks so far. The chicks hatched eight days apart, which suggests that one egg failed since barn owl chicks hatch every two to three days. The pair's final chick is due from May 15th.
