Today is Mom and Dad's anniversary and the kiddos, including Enzo, decided to surprise us with breakfast in bed. They made us some waffles, dyed to be our wedding colors, along with DYI home made cards and art. These kiddos are so crafty! I might have come out to check on them once or twice, just to make sure everyone is being safe. Once everything is ready, the kiddos come running into our room, yelling "Happy anniversary", very similar to our birthday tradition! We sit out in our back yard as Jenny and I read our cards, eat waffles with the kiddos, and share some memories from when we were first married 16 years ago. We pop up pictures from our actual wedding day along with some videos from one of our very first trips we took after we were married. We went to Italy and didn't have a lot of money. So we slept at hostels and ate bread and yogurt but made some amazing memories. After breakfast with the kiddos we head to pirate island to enjoy a few hours alone. We really love our new motosurf surf boards, so we decide to ride those for a little while. To help us capture the memory, we invite our buddy totes over to help us set up some go pros and fly his drone, to record some unique shots. I love how much fun Jenny has riding on these. I also love Jenny and how amazing she is. Not only is she a great mom to our kiddos and a great wife to me. But I love how cool she is! How she loves to shred on these surf boards with me, just like how we both love to snowboard together! She's so amazing!! A little less amazing, while we are riding our surfboards, I suddenly slow down to adjust how I am riding, which doesn't give Totes enough time to react and he slightly clips my back with the drone. I'm totally fine, however the drone sinks into the lake.... Totes is determined to find it. He grabs a life vest and heads out on a heroes journey. I give him some tools, like a rake, to help feel down to the bottom. While we let Totes look and the batteries of the surf boards charge, Jenny and I continue our anniversary by playing our favorite board game. If you've been watching the vlogs since almost the beginning, you'll recognize this game. Midway through we hear Totes yell "TOUCHDOWN!!" meaning he found the drone!! That's crazy that he found it! While its fun to spend time alone together, its also lots of fun to have the kiddos around. So Saedie brings them to pirate island to swim, play with barbies, catch tadpoles, and ride the surf boards. I love making memories like we did all day today!
