I've had the older Pod 3 version for several years now and it fixed a major issue I had with my sleep, which was that it is extremely hard to get my bedroom temperature down at night cool enough to sleep in. The Pod 5 works similarly in that respect with the cooling, but now they also have the so-called "Base" that can go along with it, and elevator the head or feet side of the mattress. And this actually solved a major issue I only discovered I had recently, which is some kind of acid reflux waking me up early, and I'd be unable to fall back asleep. I suspected sleeping at an angle would improve it by just letting gravity work in my favor instead of against it, and sure enough by using the base to elevate by around 8 degrees, this issue has been greatly reduced or even eliminated. Of course in this review I go into way more detail about every other aspect of the mattress, including thermal tests where I timed how long it took to cool down to levels and how different things affect performance.
