Very useful in the frist 2 week post surgery or injury, encouraging full active extension of the knee which is crucial to regain after knee surgery or trauma. Instructions: Sit with your leg out in front and place a rolled towel or foam roller under the bottom of the thigh, just above the back of the knee. Loop the band around the foot and tighten to get enough tension for you to be able to lift the foot, but use the maximum of the quadriceps and the band as just an assistance only as required. Aim to get the quadriceps doing most of the work and the band to only assist to get you to full extension, plus assisting on the way down to elimiate a fast drop and any pain.
