Iran warns of 'hell' across region if US and Israel escalation continues

Iran's Revolutionary Guards warned the region would turn into "hell" as U.S. President Donald Trump and Israel stepped up pressure on Iran to open the strategic Strait of Hormuz or face attacks on its energy infrastructure. "If escalation continues, the entire region will turn into hell for you", warned Ebrahim Zolfaqari, spokesperson of the IRGC Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, as he claimed a number of Israeli and U.S. interest were struck by Iranian drones and missiles. Trump, who has sent mixed messages since the conflict began with a joint U.S.-Israeli bombardment of Iran on February 28, told Tehran that his latest deadline for a deal to end the war was fast approaching.
