Yamaha EC-06 E-Scooter Launched - Price From 1.68 Lakh - Explained All Spec, Features, Range & More

Yamaha has launched the EC-06 electric scooter in India, priced at Rs 1.68 lakh (ex-showroom). It will initially be available in four cities: Pune, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore. The Yamaha EC-06 shares its underpinnings with the River Indie. The overall design looks similar. The EC-06 has a rectangular headlamp, a flat footboard, and a single-piece seat. In terms of features, the EC-06 offers a colour LCD display, reverse assist and three riding modes – Eco, Standard and Power. It has a 24.5-litre underseat storage bin. The EC-06 comes with a 4 kWh battery, which powers an electric motor generating 6.7 kW and 26 Nm. Yamaha claims a top speed of 79 km/h and a range of 169 km. The battery can be charged to 80% in 8 hours. Braking duties are handled by single 200 mm discs in the front and rear, supported by Combi Brake System.
