Description

Improving flexion in lying with some active movement is allowed (usually post-surgically) but because of weakness and load restriction you need assistance. Also hlepful when you are not allowed to lift the arm into flexion by itself. The pole helps you lift the arm so it is not completely active and there is some but mimimal load through the injured side. Instructions Lying on your back - grab the pole evenly in both hands. Keep the un-injured arm higher than the injured so you are lifting more with the good arm and less with te injured arm. Lift the pole above you so it goes to about head height. Then lower slowly again. As you get better you can increase the height above your head.
