Since 1994, Talgo trains have operated on Amtrak intercity trains in the Pacific Northwest. These articulated train sets share wheelsets between cars and use a passive tilting system to allow the trains to pass through curves at higher speeds than conventional rail equipment. Here, a Talgo Series 8 train heads through Kent, Washington as Amtrak Cascades service number 505.
