Add frying oil to the frying pan. Add a little butter for flavor. Peel and chop the potatoes fairly coarsely. 5 potatoes. Medium potatoes - 5. Boil the potatoes until tender. Chop one medium onion very finely for sautéing. Add the onion to the pan and fry until golden.
When the potatoes boil, add salt, nutmeg, pepper, and bay leaf. The onion is almost browned. Use any white fish; fillets or steaks are fine. Place the fish in a baking dish.
Now prepare the extraordinary baking sauce. Add one medium onion to a blender. Slice one lemon into very thin wedges. Add two teaspoons of Dijon mustard to the onion in a blender. Then add salt to taste. I used one teaspoon. One-quarter cup or 60 milliliters of vegetable oil. I used olive oil.
Whisk everything thoroughly in a blender and spread this incredible baking sauce over the fish. Coat it thoroughly on all sides. Add the lemon wedges, cover with foil, and bake in the oven at 180°C, 360°F, then at 200°C, 400°F for 20 minutes.
Add the boiled potatoes to the fried onions and fry together for a few more minutes. The fish is ready. Serve this incredibly delicious fish and potatoes.
