Injured bull found in a huge rubbish dump, now healed…

We got a call that someone had noticed one of the cattle foraging for food at the garbage dump was limping badly. When we found him, we saw a rope was tied around his foot and was cutting deep into the skin. Sadly, cattle who are abandoned by dairy farmers because they are simply male or because they are no longer producing enough milk to be profitable often end up foraging for food at garbage dumps, where they fill their stomachs with not only plastic bags, but even needled and scraps of metal. It’s heart-breaking to see them so hungry that just to get the tiny bit of oil or vegetable scraps in a plastic bag they fill their bellies with more and more garbage which will eventually kill them since their stomach can’t digest the plastic and it just accumulates. We wish we could rescue them all, but at least we could help this one and alleviate his excruciating pain, give him healthy food and a safe place to recover. How much sweeter life is when we help.
