This Storm Bird Woke Me Up With His Singing! Watch To The End... At this time of year (the wet season) storm birds visit the Top End of the Northern Territory and announce... storms brewing! Their singing is hauntingly beautiful, and this is what woke me up this particular morning. I went outside, bleary-eyed, with my camera and recorded this song, finally being buzzed by this wonderful male storm bird as he changed trees. The storm bird is also called the Pacific koel.
