Aussie kids experience life as an F1® driver

When the stars of F1® landed in Melbourne in 2025, we wanted to give a couple of up and coming local karting champions a taste of life as an F1® driver. Meet our Team of Tomorrow. After a rigorous selection process, that included qualification on-track and a series of off-track interviews, Sammy and Alana were selected for this once in a lifetime opportunity to be the inaugural members of our Team of Tomorrow. Just like their hero, and local karting product Oscar Piastri, Alana and Sammy were kitted out in custom race suits, signed autographs, had to front the media, met drivers and had a series of other obligations to live out their dream in front of the record Albert Park crowd. Since 1996, the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix™ has called Melbourne and the iconic Albert Park track home, with the event a feature on the city's annual calendar of major events.
