Beautiful Marlo was near death after deep wound…

The depth of Marlo's wound was hidden beneath a thick flap of skin. Astoundingly, the wound's direction did not penetrate Marlo's intestines. We gathered her up and hurried to the hospital where we immediately began preparing her for surgery, but we had to wait to begin until we were sure her stomach was empty. We kept her quiet and snugly bandaged until her life-saving operation began with a thorough flushing and cleansing of the horrific wound, ensuring that several layers of stitches including the skin flaps were perfectly positioned so that the sutures would hold.
