Young Female Gorilla surprises the Silverback | Monta & Momoka

May 2026. The day the pairing of Monta and Momoka was made public. Momoka was having a hard time getting closer to Monta. Suddenly, she started climbing a tree. Monta looked up from below, watching Momoka in the tree with concern. When Momoka climbed down from the tree, she walked over to Monta. She poked Monty’s back a few times, but he walked away again. It looks like it will take a little while longer for Monta and Momoka to move on to the next stage. Momoka climbing the tree looked just like Tayari, the female gorilla at the Taipei Zoo.
