Description
We began our journey with a scenic drive from Ekta Nagar- Kevadia toward Mandan Lake then to Saputara. This is a 2 days combined journey episode. These were basically not so known tourist places which we have covered in this episode even the locals of Gujarat may have not visited the same.
Located just 16 km from Rajpipla
In the previous episodes, we explored the heritage and culture of Champaner and Panchmahal, visited the spiritual town of Poicha, and documented our journey from Jambughoda to Ekta Nagar.
We also spent 3 nights in Ekta Nagar, where we created two detailed episodes covering the Statue of Unity and the many attractions around it.
Now, in this 4th Episode, we take the journey forward—from the serene Mandan Lake to the hidden waterfalls, scenic rivers, local Dangi flavors, and spiritual sites of Southern Gujarat and Dang region.

Ekta Nagar → Mandan Lake
While I was doing Reiki before the shoot, I got to know that Mandan lake is very beautiful, but some people said, you will see a lot of plastic waste all around the place. I partnered with locals from Rajpipla to organize a cleanup drive around the lake. Together, we cleared a good amount of plastic litter—small steps toward preserving its serene beauty.
Ghanikhut Waterfall
We then continued our drive toward Ghanikhut Waterfall - a cascade tucked near Netrang, around 15 km from Netrang, The waterfall, framed by lush greenery, was a breathtaking sight and made the journey feel all the more worthwhile.

Day 2: Vyara → Dang
Mayadevi Temple & the Purna River
Our morning began at Mayadevi Temple, where we were treated to panoramic views of the Purna River. This spot features a dramatic narrow rock point over the river—legend has it you could jump from one side of the rock to the other!
Chimer Waterfall
Next, we made our way to Chimer Waterfall—another hidden gem that impressed us with its natural charm and pristine surroundings.
Lunch at Sadguru Krupa Nahri Restaurant
Time for flavors—at “Sadguru Krupa Nahri Restaurant,” we savored a delicious Dangi Thali, a budget-friendly taste of local cuisine.
The U-Turn Point in Dang is one of the most scenic viewpoints of South Gujarat, especially during the monsoon season. The point is named after the dramatic U-shaped bend taken by the Purna River.
Girmal Waterfall – The Tallest in Gujarat
Located deep inside the Purna Wildlife Sanctuary near Ahwa in Dang district, Girmal is the highest waterfall in Gujarat, cascading from a height of nearly 100 feet, best time to visit is from July to September, that’s when we had visited this place.
Shabri Dham
Our final stop was Shabri Dham, a mythological site where, as per Hindu lore, Shabri offered berries to Lord Rama. It is around 30 km from Ahwa.
Then we proceeded to Saputara.
After this we ended our day. Hope you enjoyed the video.
