Train Cab Ride NL / Faulty Level Crossing - EI8 / Amsterdam - Haarlem - Roosendaal / VIRM / Jan 2026

Hi everyone! A brand new long ride for you all. This time a early Sunday morning ride on a cold winter day in January. The Winter Train Schedule still active. So less trains running than normally. About every 30 minutes trains on all stations (normally more). And passengers have to change change more often. Now let's get to it. We get a EI-8 for a defective level crossing on km 28.9. The dispatcher lets us know the sprinter from platform 1 needs to depart first. Right after that the on time train coming from Beverwijk is also crossing our path. 24:40 Haarlem - Departure With a 6 minute delay we continue our journey. 28:01 Heemstede-Aerdenhout 30:33 More Delays Coming Up! Waiting for the Sprinter ahead calling at Hillegom and passing the faulty level crossing. 32:39 Province Border + ATB Track Failure All at the same time. Now we get to experience a ATB track failure as well. Driving on sight and reporting back to the train dispatcher later. 35:12 Closing in on Defective Level Crossing The level crossing is activated at this point normally. But now it's constantly closed because its faulty. This is also why we must slow down. Traffic at the crossing might behave dangerous. 36:19 Executing European Instruction We sounds the horn repeatedly and slow down to 10km/h just before the level crossing. This to make sure we can stop for every danger on the level crossing. Of course: when you encounter this in you car on on your bike? Or even as a pedestrian? NEVER cross a closed level crossing. Passengers have to change trains in Roosendaal, waiting another 30 minutes.
