Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter and discover a unique collection of Harry Potter merchandise located between the Forbidden Forest and Platform 9¾ areas of the tour. During our visit, the shop was beautifully decorated for the Hogwarts in the Snow season, with Christmas trees, festive displays, Harry Potter decorations, ornaments, clothing, notebooks, pin badges, collectibles, and exclusive seasonal gifts inspired by the Wizarding World. The Forbidden Forest Shop is known for carrying exclusive merchandise that may not be available elsewhere on the Studio Tour. During our visit, many items were heavily discounted, with a large selection of merchandise reduced by up to 50%. We picked up Hagrid's famous pink umbrella wand for just £5, along with several Harry Potter pin badges for only £2 each, making this a great place to hunt for Wizarding World bargains and souvenirs. The shop takes its name from the Forbidden Forest, one of the most mysterious locations in the Harry Potter books and films. Situated on the edge of the Hogwarts grounds, the forest is home to magical creatures including centaurs, unicorns, Acromantulas, and Hippogriffs. During Harry's first year at Hogwarts in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, he enters the Forbidden Forest during detention and encounters a hooded figure drinking unicorn blood, later revealed to be Lord Voldemort surviving in a weakened form after his failed attack on Harry. It is also here that Harry first meets the centaur Firenze, who warns him that dark events are unfolding around Hogwarts. Located just before Platform 9¾, the Forbidden Forest Shop forms part of the Studio Tour experience alongside the Forbidden Forest set, where guests can encounter Buckbeak the Hippogriff, Aragog the giant spider, and many of the creatures that appeared throughout the Harry Potter films. The First Year at Hogwarts event runs from 7th May to 7th September 2026 and celebrates the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Throughout the Studio Tour, guests can discover original props, costumes, interactive displays, Wizard Chess pieces, Fluffy the three-headed dog, and special experiences inspired by Harry Potter's first year at Hogwarts. Warner Bros. Studio Tour London opened in 2012 at Leavesden Studios, where all eight Harry Potter films were produced. The attraction showcases authentic sets, costumes, props, creature effects, and filmmaking secrets from the Wizarding World. Similar Studio Tours can also be found in Tokyo and Hollywood. Leavesden Studios is also home to the upcoming HBO Harry Potter television series starring Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. The new adaptation is expected to premiere in 2026.
