Jitender ji - +91 88175 34455 - he is into Animal rescue - since he loves to explore tourism, so helped us in our journey of Korba. Traditional Breakfast at Ajgar Bahar - We drove around 10 km to Ajgar Bahar where we had breakfast at a small local dhaba. They prepared Dal Vada in a completely traditional way, the dal was crushed manually in an okhli, keeping it coarse and full of texture. It was served with chole and spicy garlic chutney. Simple food, but full of authentic flavours. Here we met Jitender Ji, who helped us explore Korba and its hidden gems for the day. Next stop – Rani Jharna Falls - To reach the waterfall, we had to trek around 2.9 km through a moderately difficult forest trail. The path was scenic, surrounded by greenery and rocky terrain. Though the water flow was less during our visit, the peaceful environment and untouched beauty made the trek completely worth it. The journey to the falls felt more special than the destination itself. Deopahari – After that, we visited Deopahari Waterfall, one of the most stunning spots of the day. Massive rocky formations, multiple water streams, and several viewpoints made it an incredible place to relax and soak in nature. It’s the kind of location where you just sit quietly and admire how raw and powerful nature can be. Traditional Village Lunch in Lemru - By 3:30 PM, we reached Lemru village where Jitender Ji had arranged a traditional Chhattisgarhi meal. We had: Idhar Kadhi (made from arbi leaves and besan), Sarso ki Bhaji, Hirwa Dal (also known as Kulthi Dal), Munga Bhaji Fresh, simple, and cooked with love, this was one of the most authentic meals of the journey. After thanking Jitender Ji, we headed to Coffee Point, a perfect place for those who want to stay close to nature and enjoy peaceful surroundings. Later, we returned to Satrenga Boat Club to end the day. Exploring Silk Weaving in Champa - The next day, we travelled to Champa, known for its silk weaving, especially tussar silk. In Seoni village, we observed that almost every family member was involved in silk or cotton weaving. Handlooms and traditional techniques are still very active here. We met Devangan Ji, who shared something truly inspiring. He is experimenting with extracting fibre from plant stems like alsi (flax) and okra. Using a homemade machine, he crushes the stems to extract fibre, converts it into yarn, and then creates fabric from it. His innovative work in plant-based textiles has earned recognition from several institutions. After this we ended our day. Hope you enjoyed the video.
